Staff Spotlight: Meet Ronnie Simmons, Route Driver

“Pies with a purpose.”

That’s Ronnie Simmons’ mantra as he makes his way around Davidson, Williamson, and Rutherford counties delivering freshly baked pies from the Sweet Creations Pie Bakery kitchen.

Ronnie Simmons joined the Sweet Creations team as Route Driver in the summer of 2016 but has been around the bakery since its inception. “Barbara is my older sister, so I know her well. Growing up, when she made her mind up to do something, she persevered.  So seeing the vision of this bakery come to fruition is no surprise. I’m glad to be a part of her support team.”

Out in the field, Simmons represents the Sweet Creations Pie Bakery brand well. Be it through personal deliveries or sporting full chef’s garb in front of the bakery welcoming passers go by with samples of their freshly baked pies.

Affectionately known as the “Pie Guy,” Ronnie is committed to the Sweet Creations mission of serving the North Nashville community. “The more pies we sell, the more we can help the community by creating good-paying jobs and bringing additional revenue into our area.”

Before Sweet Creations, Simmons worked as an education assistant with the Rutherford County School system where he helped create positive classroom experiences for teachers and students with small needs.
